Tenzin Norbu
Religious Translator
Tenzin Norbu is currently Volunteer English Teacher of Gaden Sharste Monastery’s School. He was born on 3rd August 1994 at Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu where he was raised throughout his childhood.
He studied at Kodaikanal Public School, Kodaikanal from Kindergarten through Class 10. And completed his Class 11 and 12 at St. Peter’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kodaikanal. He then moved to Bangalore, Karnataka to pursue higher studies and was admitted to the Oxford College of Business Management. He will be performing the duties of Religious Translator during the Monastic tour of USA.
Since his childhood he grew up in Kodaikanal, he never had the proper opportunity to learn about Tibetan culture and his religion, as there were no Buddhist monasteries to visit in Kodaikanal. So, as he wanted to learn more about Tibetan culture and his religion, he came to our monastery to learn more about it. He has visited places like Dharamshala to experience and learn about Tibetan Culture and Buddhism.
Currently he resides at Gaden Shartse Monastery in Mundgod, Karnataka where he is learning and studying about Tibetan culture and Buddhism.He is also volunteering to teach English classes at the Gaden Shartse Monastery’s primary school.
